EuroHockey Lisbon 2017- Łukasz Zwierzchowski Interview

As the EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championship, Men - Lisbon 2017 approaches, it is time to get to know the main characters of the event taking place between 13th to 15th January.

Łukasz Zwierzchowski, one of the EuroHockey Lisbon 2017 National Umpires, kindly shared his thoughts about the incoming tournament, as well as his opinion about the hosting country, Portugal.

As one of the EuroHockey Lisbon 2017 National Umpires, what do you expect of this tournament?
First of all, I really enjoyed being appointed for this tournament. U-21 tournaments are always high level competitions with young talented players that will be seen later in the senior national teams of their countries. So, as for my expectations go, I hope this tournament to present us with very close games, with many emotions, with a good level of hockey and, of course, a lot of goals.

Have you ever visited Portugal or Lisbon?
This will be my first time in Portugal.

What are you hoping to find?
As a nutritionist I can't wait to try typical Portuguese food, get to know as many people as I can, and get to know something about Portuguese culture. I also can't wait to see how good the weather is in Lisbon because in my hometown, during this season, the weather is very cold.
